It’s Telkom Knockout time


One of the Premier Soccer Leagues’ most exciting tournaments kicks-off this weekend when Bidvest Wits

visits Eric Tinkler’s side Maritzburg United at Harry Gwala stadium on Friday (8pm).

With their impressive run in the Absa Premiership and being the most successful team in the Telkom

Knockout, Kaizer Chiefs will have their tails up when they visit Cape Town City on Saturday afternoon at Cape Town stadium. The game is scheduled for 3pm.

At the same time, Lamontville Golden Arrows will host Limpopo’s high flying Polokwane City at the Sugar Ray Xulu.

Later on that evening Orlando Pirates will welcome the newly promoted Western Cape side Stellenbosch United at 6pm.

The TKO defending champions Baroka will look to defend their trophy when they visit and take on 2019 SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe for a 8.15pm game.

Two more games will play on Sunday at 3pm when Highlands Park welcome Black Leopards at Makhulong stadium in Tembisa. Mamelodi Sundowns will host Jozef Vukusic’s men, AmaZulu.

The first round of the tournament will conclude on Tuesday when Chippa United take on Bloemfontein Celtic at 7.30pm at the Sisa Dukashe stadium.
