Supersport United CEO Stan Matthews says there is still time for Thabo Qalinge to prove his worth at the club.
Qalinge who joined ‘Matsatsantsa’ at the beginning of the season after parting ways with former club Orlando Pirates, have only until the end of the current season to impress at Supersport as his contract runs out at the end of the season.
The 28-year-old former Mpumalanga Black Aces winger has only managed five appearances in all competitions at Supersport so far in the 2019/20 season.
Matthews says as with all the other players whose contracts are expiring this season, Qalinge still have seven games to impress.
“We have until May to decide,”said Matthews.
“I agree [Qalinge hasn’t played enough to earn a contract]…but football is a funny game and there are seven games for that to change,”added Mathews.
“As with all the players who are awaiting options…(Thabo) Mnyamane, (Clayton) Daniels, Washington Arubi, Boalefa Pule, Dylan Stoffels, Bradley Grobler, Ndivhuwo Rabuhali, “concluded the Supersport CEO.
