Ex Bafana Bafana striker Sibusiso Zuma believes the current national team star Percy Tau can do well in Germany.
Tau belongs to English Premiership side Brighton, but he’s on loan at Club Brugge of Belgium, because he doesn’t qualify for a work permit in the United Kingdom (UK).
Zuma, however, says the Bundesliga will be good for Tau.
“I still believe that he can make us strong, but he needs to work very hard, and playing in Germany will help him big time, I promise you,” said Zuma, who played in Germany for Arminia Bielefeld between 2005 and 2008.
“If he can go find a team in Germany, it will do him wonders and if he can get a bigger club in Germany, that’s even better.
“But Percy can still switch gears and help the country (South Africa),” Zuma added.
Tau could now possibly get a work permit in the UK after featuring in the UEFA Champions League, which earns a footballer points as part of UK’s stringent measures.
