Baroka FC part ways with playmaker

FARPost has it on good authority that Baroka FC have parted ways with a playmaker ahead of the second round of the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Baroka, who are currently sitting third in the SA second-tier table with 27 points from 17 outings are on the right course to fight for a promotion back to the DStv Premiership.

The Limpopo club started off the season at a snail’s pace which forced Bakgaga to make technical team changes.

Following a string of poor results, Baroka roped in the well-traveled coach Dan Malesela who took over the coaching reins at the club from Stanford Nkoane.

Nkoane was shown the exit door after failing to meet the Bakgaga’s mandate in their first five matches.

BAROKA FC CUT TIES WITH PLAYMAKER

This publication can confirm that attacking midfielder Ntiyiso Bombi and Baroka have decided to go their separate ways.

The 23-year-old footballer joined Bakgaga in January 2022 from Marumo Gallants Reserve team that was competing in the DStv Diski Challenge [DDC].

The Tzaneen-born star had penned a three-year deal with an option to extend for a further two seasons.

His current deal was expected to come to an end in December 2024. His quick dribbling skills and elusive tricks on the ball make him stand out.

Bombi added much-needed value to the Baroka’s attacking options with his stellar displays.

When on song, the player is a goal scorer, a playmaker, and an electrifying talent to watch.

As things stand, it remains unclear where the talented attacker, Bombi, will be heading next.

Baroka will return to action on Wednesday, 14 February 2024 against Platinum City Rovers. The game will take place at Global Stadium with the kick-off scheduled for 15:30.
