Makhubela back at AmaZulu FC, Pablo Franco issues fresh update

Ntsako ‘Neverdie’ Makhubela has returned to training with AmaZulu FC and Pablo Franco Martin has issued a fresh update on their decision on the attacking midfielder.

As previously reported, Makhubela stopped training with Usuthu on Friday last week. He returned to train with the club on Wednesday as they were preparing for the Nedbank Cup clash against Royal AM.

Despite not revealing much, Martin confirmed that the technical team had taken a decision on the 29-year-old. However, it would depend on the management who’d then make the final call.

PABLO FRANCO MARTIN SAYS THEY HAVE MADE DECISION ON NTSAKO MAKHUBELA

“Yeah, we have made it but coaches just can’t make some of the decisions. Some decisions are for other people,” said Martin.

“And from there they are the ones who need to negotiate or make the final call and let’s see what happens. I can’t tell you right now, you already know that he’s training with us.

“We are also trying to pay attention to the market because we have the need to reinforce ourselves.”

Martin added that Usuthu were intending to make more acquisitions in January but they couldn’t get the players they were targeting.

‘OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE THE SQUAD? WE NEED TO GO FOR IT’

“I already said that [in January transfer] market, we had the opportunity to sign some of the players who could have given us a step forward to reach the next level or to be competitive,” he added.

“We couldn’t get them in the end but on the other hand, I’m really happy with my squad. From the beginning, they have been working from day one till today. It’s amazing to share the pitch with these warriors and human beings.

“We are going to keep pushing with them but also our responsibility as coaches as members of the technical team which is monitoring players to keep paying attention to the market.

“And when we have the opportunity to improve the squad, we need to try to go for it. From there, we cannot do anything else but wait for the ones who decide.”
