3 Chiefs players to watch v Leopards

Absa Premiership leaders Kaizer Chiefs are favourites to beat struggling Black Leopards at Thohoyandou Stadium this afternoon.

FARPost looks at th Amakhosi men that can help seal victory.

Samir Nurkovic

The last time a striker of such a calibre played for Amakhosi was during the 2010/11 season when Zimbabwean striker Knowledge Musona led the Amakhosi frontline. Nurkovic has an instinct for goals, can take on defenders, is good with both feet and has a strong aerial presence. He is currently tied on 3rd spot on the Absa Premiership top goal scores list. With the form he is in chiefs can certainly count him for a goal or 2.

Lebogang Manyama

Four goals and six assists in 16 games is certainly evident that Manyama is by far the most impactful player at Chiefs. He can be dangerous on set pieces and his vision and creativity has orchestrated a lot of dangerous moves on match days with some leading to goals. Given the hot weather conditions in Thohoyandou, Chiefs might rely more on set pieces and counter attacks and Manyama will certainly be key in these aspects.

Eric Mathoho

A revived and more focused Mathoho has stabilised the Chiefs defence this season. His ability to give Chiefs more strength in attacking moments has made a huge deference this season. The 4 goals that Tower has scored so far is the most in a season since he turned professional and judging by his scoring thirst, there could be more coming.
