There was a League debut goal for Ethan Chislett in England while Percy Tau continues his influence in Belgium. Here is how our footballers abroad fared this past weekend.

KURT ABRAHAMS

After two consecutive draws in the Belgian Proximus League KV Westerlo got their first victory this past weekend beating RFC Seraing 2-0 on Sunday night.

Abrahams started and played 87 minutes for KV Westerlo, his third league appearance this season.

PERCY TAU

The former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker got his second start of the season and he continued his influence upfront for Anderlecht winning a first half penalty which was converted by Lukas Nmecha as Anderlecht came out with a 2-0 victory over Cercle Brugge in the Belgian Pro League on Sunday afternoon.

The win leaves Anderlecht sitting in 6th spot on the league table with nine points from the five games played so far.

LEBO MOLOTO

The South African midfielder started and was substituted in stoppage time as FC Tulsa drew 1-1 with OKC Energy in the American USL championship on Sunday.

LIAM JORDAN

The Durban-born striker was a second half substitute for Danish 1st division side HB Koge as they started the season with a 2-1 win against Hvidovre on Saturday afternoon.

This is Jordan’s third season with the Danish second tier side as they continue to push for promotion to the Suparliga.

KGAOGELO CHAUKE

The 17-year-old midfielder got his English Premier League 2 season off to a perfect start as he came on as a second half substitute to score the winner for Southampton U-23 in their 2-1 win against Arsenal.

Chauke has been on the rise in the Southampton academy system having already been training with the first team since March with coach Ralph Hasenhuttl a big admirer of the central midfielder.

ETHAN CHISLETT

The Durban-born midfielder got off to a perfect start in League One as he got his first start of the season for AFC Wimbledon against Northampton Town.

Chislett lasted 76 minutes and grabbed AFC Wimbledon’s second goal in a 2-2 draw in the league to earn their first point of the season.

LUKE LE ROUX

The former SA U-20 captain started his 19th league game of the season for Varbergs BoIS in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday afternoon.

The defensive midfielder played 88 minutes as Varbergs overcame a stubborn Mjallby side beating them 3-2 in a game that went to the wire.

KEAGAN DOLLY

The winger came on for the last 5 minutes for Montpellier as they thumped OGC Nice 3-1 in the French top flight.

This is the first win of the season for Montpellier who opened the season with a 2-1 loss to Rennes on match day 1 of Ligue 1.

RICARDO SCHUTTE

The striker made his professional debut for Spanish Segunda Liga side CD Mirandes as they drew 0-0 with Alcorcon.

Schutte joined Mirandes recently on a season-long loan from Portuguese top flight side Rio Ave.
