An admire of Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo was left embarrassed on Wednesday night, after the Portuguese star reacted angrily to his pitch invasion antics.
Ronaldo scored a goal during the 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in a UEFA Champions League Group D match at the Bay Arena, Germany.
And seconds after the final whistle a fan stormed into the pitch and put his arm around Ronaldo as he tried to get a selfie.
The 34-year-old did not take kindly to the ‘gesture’ angrily pushed the fan away before security staff intervened. Ronaldo had hugged another fan who invaded the pitch during the same match.
Here are some of the funny Pitch invader moments:
-A fan in a Juventus jersey stormed the pitch during Portugal’s game against Lithuania in November this year. Ronaldo allowed the game to be stopped while the intruder took a moment to set up a selfie, before he was led off in tears by security.
-An invader managed to get a selfie with Ronaldo during the UEFA Champions League match between Manchester United and Juventus last year in October, after playing a hilarious game of cat-and-mouse with security, before being bundled to the ground.
-A Pitch invader who attempted to hug Ronaldo during the 2017 Club World Cup match between Real Madrid and Gremio was dramatically wrestled to ground by security before he could accomplish his mission.
-During a EUFA Champions League match between Read Madrid and Chelsea in 2013, a fan succeeded in invading the pitch at Stamford Bridge and managed to whisper in Ronaldo’s ear for a good 30 seconds, with Ronaldo seemingly happy to take the message on board during a lengthy and warm embrace.
-During the Champions League final between Madrid and Liverpool in 2018, an invader invaded the pitch trying to stop Ronaldo from scoring. Although the fan failed, the player ended up not taking the shot at goals. The score was 3-1 in the last minute of the game.
