Eddie Howe is understood to be on the verge of being named the new Glasgow Celtic manager after the former Bournemouth boss agreed ‘in principle’ to take charge of the club.
Howe has been out of work since leaving the Cherries in August 2020 following their relegation from the Premier League.
A number of clubs have been linked with a move for the 43-year-old including Newcastle and Sheffield United, however, the Scottish Sun report that he’s now set to take the reins at Celtic Park.
The report claims that the finer details of the agreement have been ironed out and – bar a late change of heart – Howe will sign a £2m-a-year deal with the recently dethroned Scottish champions, with an official announcement to be made next week.
