Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has indicated that out of favour striker Jeremy Brockie still has a future with the Chloorkop-based club.
Brockie joined Sundowns from SuperSport United in the 2017/18 January transfer window, but struggled to replicate the same form which made him dangerous at SuperSport and eventually fell down the packing order at Sundowns.
Brockie was loaned out to Maritzburg United at the start of the current campaign, but Mosimane has since offered the striker a lifeline despite continuing to struggle at The Team Of Choice.
“No, I don’t think we reached that decision. I think that decision we gonna do it in May [to bring back Brockie or put him on transfer]. So yeah, it’s a May decision because we agreed to leave him at Maritzburg for this period, I think he’s got experience, I think he can come in handy at the end,” said Mosimane.
Despite Judas Moseamedi going through a great run of form, Pitso hinted that maybe Brockie can do even better provided his given as much game time as Moseamedi.
“Let’s be honest as much as Judas Moseamedi is a good football player but the ratio, I think he [Moseamedi] played 10 games or whatever I don’t know how many games he’s played but he scored 1 goal [In the League] so Brockie can also say, ‘hey I’m not that far from these guy maybe If I play more I may have a chance to score’.
“We will wait and see,” Mosimane added.
