Mamelodi Sundowns legend Daniel ‘Mambush’ Mudau has hailed Bafana Ba Style midfielder Themba Zwane for his fine displays since the beginning of the season.
Mshishi, as he’s popularly known, has scored seven goals and contributed one assist from seven outings in the 2020/21 DStv Premiership.
Mambush senses that if the 31-year-old attacking midfielder maintains his scoring rate, he will be able to break his all-time goal record of 80 goals.
“Mshishi, this boy is still going to surprise many people. His skill and work rate make him very special. I can assure you that with the rate that he is scoring goals I won’t be surprised if he breaks my scoring record at Mamelodi Sundowns or he comes close to it,” adds the former Sundowns goal poacher.
Zwane has 55 goals for Downs in 259 appearances.
Mudau also reflected on the Brazilians’ great start of the season. Masandawana has a fine unbeaten run record in the top division.
“Mamelodi Sundowns have collected almost seventeen points in seven games and my thought is that they are in a good run of 2020/21 season and they will be the strong contenders to win the first DStv Premiership if they continue gaining points,” he says in conclusion.
