An African sensation is raising the bar in the Czech Republic scoring week in and week out in the domestic and continental competitions.
Abdallah Sima is a 19-year-old striker who plays for Czech Republic giants Slavia Prague in the Fortuna Liga.
The six-foot-two tall forward has started the 2020/21 season on a high. He has scored four league goals in five games for Prague. In the UEFA Europa League, the lanky forward has scored three goals in five games so far, some of the goals have come against the likes of OGC Nice, Opava and Hapoel Beer-Sheva since making his debut in the European competition.
The attacker is one of a few Senegalese players making waves across Europe with the likes of Krepin Diatta, Moussa Wague, Ismaila Saar and many more doing well for clubs across Europe.
It’s been an amazing start to life in professional football for the teenager, who originally moved to Slavia Prague’s B Team earlier this year after spending time with the youth team of MAS Taborsko, a smaller club also in the Czech Republic.
Sima was on song on Sunday in the Prague derby as Slavia ran out 3-0 winners against Sparta Prague and he scored two goals to ensure that Slavia took home all the City’s bragging rights.
Sima scored the first goal after 32 minutes to open the scoring before doubling the lead for the visitors eight minutes later. His striking partner Ondrej Lingr sealed the emphatic victory with a strike in the 53rd minute of the game.
Slavia Prague currently sit top of Fortuna Liga standings with 72 points from 22 league games played so far in the division.
They are followed by Viktoria Pizen who have 66 points, with only five league games left in the league this season and Prague is expected to clinch the title in the next few games.
