FARPost sources have insisted that Mamelodi Sundowns are unlikely to exercise their two-year option on Oupa Manyisa’s contract.
Ace’s contract expired at the end of June 2020 and while the team is in the North West training ahead of the resumption of the League, the former Orlando Pirates midfielder is holed up at home.
Manyisa, as FARPost previously reported, will not be staying on with the Brazilians.
He’s been with the club since July 2017 after joining from the Buccaneers and his future at Chloorkop has for months been bleak, given his injury troubles and having played fewer games than expected.
This season, Manyisa has featured in just 2 games, but it should be added that a long-term Achilles tendon injury contributed to his lack of game time.
In all, Manyisa has played 47 times for the Tshwane club over the past three seasons, scoring 1 goal.
