Chippa United will be confident to retain their DStv Premiership status after collecting another three points on Tuesday at Chatsworth Stadium.
Though there was no football match between the Chilli Boys and Royal AM as per the promotion/relegation playoffs fixture, the NSL rules will apply.
Royal AM did not honour the match as they had promised, days before match day and the formalities of a walk-over took place with Chippa United players and officials walking to the pitch.
The Premier Soccer League DC is expected to sit and hear the report of the match commissioner and officials and decide to award three points to Chippa United with a three goal scoreline.
According to NSL handbook rule 22.214.171.124, a team sanctioned with a forfeit is considered to have lost the match by three goals to nil.
The result will put the Chilli Boys on pole position to retain their PSL status with two matches to play in the play-offs. They will also be on top of the mini-log with six points.
The Gqeberha-based side won their first match 2-1 against Richards Bay at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
With the events that unfolded at Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday, it can be expected that Royal AM will not pitch for their Thursday match against Richards Bay.
Should Chippa and Richards Bay be awarded six points each for their matches against Royal AM, the Chilli Boys will just need a draw on their second leg match against Richards Bay.
