The agent of Mbabane Highlanders midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni has explained why the player has not returned to the club after the Christmas holidays.
Reports suggested that the player was on his way out of the team after failing to report for training after the Christmas break alongside his countryman, Mandisa Gadla.
But his representative, Ally Thloale has refuted claims that the relations have broken down between the player and the club.
“Thamsanqa Sangweni is still a Mbabane Highlanders player and will be rejoining the team after the two-week break,” Thloale told Swazi Observer.
“I think there was a communication breakdown between the player and Highlanders but everything has been sorted now. We have a good working relationship with Highlanders. The player is focused on helping the club win trophies this season,” he said
Meanwhile, Highlanders are on the verge of enlisting the services of two South African players in Tsepho ‘Sikhwama’ Matete and Siphamandla Sangweni, who are both training with the club.
