Manchester City and Argentine striker Sergio Aguero has confirmed he has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 32-year-old goal poacher revealed he had been self-isolating after a close contact with another confirmed case.
“After a close contact, I’ve been self-isolating and the latest test I took was positive for COVID 19,” Aguero wrote on his official Twitter account.
“I had some symptoms and I’m following doctor’s orders for recovery. Take care, everyone!”
It is a setback for the ‘Citizens’ to lose someone of Aguero’s calibre as his selfless space creation and showreel of tricks and flicks makes City’s attack tick.
The Man City’s record goalscorer only started just three games this season, having missed the end of the last term and the start of the 2020/21 campaign after undergoing knee surgery.
