Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly have reportedly been monitoring Cameroon youngster Lambert Gueme Araina, who currently plies his trade with Coton Sport.
Araina caught Pitso Mosimane’s attention during this season’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign with Coton Sport, where he played 14 games and scored six goals while providing three assists.
The club have been monitoring the 22-year-old for the entirety of the season and will be competing with European sides for his signature, according to kick442.
The Red Devils have been on the lookout for a new striker, especially that their star forward Mohamed Sherif has been linked with a move to French club, OGC Nice.
Meanwhile, Walter Bwalya, whom they signed in January, hasn’t been performing as expected, with Marwan Mohsen also dropping down the pecking order.
The report also suggests that Al Ahly might be interested in Raja Casablanca’s Ben Malango, who was linked to arch rivals Zamalek.
