Algeria have secured the Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) spot due to be held in Morocco this year.
Abedelkader Soltani’s side played to a 1-all draw with Tunisia in the final matchday of the North African zone (UNAF) tournament.
Eddy Zuliani’s 70th-minute own goal gave Algeria a lead. However, the Carthage Eagles bounced back into contention with a goal courtesy of Youcef Sanan, a minute from full time.
Algeria topped the three-team tournament on goal difference from Tunisia, who needed a win to qualify for the U-17 Afcon, Morocco 2021.
