Zimbabwe U20 and South Africa U20 played to a pulsating and hard-fought draw at the Wolfson Stadium in Port Elizabeth today.

The Young Warriors took an early lead after well taken corner kick which was headed home by the gallant striker Tapiwa Mandinyenya.

Amajita replied immediately from a move initiated by the Kaizer Chiefs youth player, Rahim Milazi who crossed wonderfully for Oswin Appolis to equalize.

South Africa then took complete control of the match and created countless opportunities to take the lead but the Zimbabwean goalkeeper Raphel Pitisi stood firm to keep his team in the match.

From an innocuous looking corner kick that Amajita failed to deal with decisively, the ever alert Lexington Mujokoro tapped in to give the Young Warriors the lead again.

With the match destined for a suprise Young Warriors victory, the Mamelodi Sundowns youth player, Mohlala Makola pounced on a loose ball to equalize.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw and Amajita will surely feel the points dropped from this encounter.
