Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune saved a penalty to hand Amakhosi a win against Cameroonian side, Bamenda, on Sunday afternoon.

Eric Mathoho scored the all-important away goal for Chiefs.

The Venda-born defender scored with six minutes remaining.

But Chiefs almost blew their lead when they conceded a penalty a few minutes later, but Khune was equal to the task to give Chiefs the advantage in this preliminary tie.

Meanwhile, in the Confederation Cup, Bloemfontein Celtic also got a win away against DR Congo side Maniema, also on Sunday afternoon.

Harris Tchilimbou and Menzi Ndwandwe scored for Siwelele, as they won 2-0.
