AmaZulu FC head coach Ayanda Dlamini is gunning for maximum points as his side hopes to get its first Premier Soccer League (PSL) win against Black Leopards at Jonsson Kings Park Stadium on Wednesday.
The KZN based outfit returns to league action after a disappointing 1-0 defeat against TS Galaxy last Wednesday at Mbombela Stadium.
In a pre-match press conference, Dlamini noted that it is going to be a difficult encounter playing against a side that hasn’t started well this season.
“I think the guys know that it is going to be a difficult match. We play against the opposition that hasn’t started well like we are,” Dlamini told the media.
“We spoke with the players that we have to collect maximum points as we are playing at home. I know it is not going to be easy, but we have to make sure that when we are playing at home we dominate teams and don’t let them take points from us. It is very important that everyone understands and we fight together as a team to achieve that.”
Lidoda Duvha’s bad start in the DStv Premiership continued as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against Baroka FC at Thohoyandou Stadium last week. Patrick Aussems’ side will be hoping to redeem themselves with a win, having lost their two previous encounters.
AmaZulu go into the match without Thembela Skhakhane, Mbongeni Gumede, Sphesihle Maduna, and Bonginkosi Ntuli because of injuries.
However, Dlamini went on to say that there’s more availability in terms of players and the new signings are starting to understand their playing style and game plan.
