AmaZulu FC central midfielder Butholezwe Ncube has outlined his ambitions, revealing that he is hoping to win silverware during his time at the KwaZulu Natal outfit and establish himself as one of the top players in the Absa Premiership.
The Zimbabwe international made his dream move to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) to join Usuthu back in 2016 from Zimbabwean side Tsholotsho FC and has since made 63 appearances in Usuthu colours, netting three goals with three assists thus far.
“I am happy about my performance as it all starts at training and behind the scenes. Then I put all that hard work on match day and without my teammates, family, friends, and our supporters, I am nothing,” said Ncube.
Ncube, who is a defensive midfielder by trade, represented Zimbabwe at the 2019 COSAFA Cup and played 25 matches for AmaZulu in his debut season (2016/17) in South Africa which was in the National First Division (NFD), now known as GladAfrica Championship.
“l still want to do more for the team. l would be glad and blessed if l win trophies with Usuthu,” added the 28-year-old.
“Now that I am coming back from an [ankle] injury l will make sure that I perform well for the team. I would like to win the league (Absa Premiership), MTN8, and Telkom Knockout Cup.”
“l will keep grinding for more and l want to be one of the best players in the PSL and amongst Africa’s best,” concluded the 28-year-old.
