The Festive Tournament fever has officially began in Limpopo following the launch of one of the Province’s biggest football extravaganza, the Dr M.K Manamela Soccer Challenge.
The launch of the 3rd edition took place on Friday night at Dula Fela Guest House, Ga Dikgale in Limpopo.
The Top 16 Tournament will take place from Saturday, 12 December until Saturday 19 December at Moletjie Ceres Village, Limpopo.
Amongst the dignitaries who attended the event was former Bafana Bafana captain, Aaron Mokoena, former SAFA Provincial leader, Abel Rakoma, sponsors, government officials, Black Leopards coach Dylan Kerr as well as professional players; Thabiso Mokoena and Isaac Masia.
“I made a commitment that this is an annual tournament so if it means we will play without supporters we will play without them,” Founder of the Tournament Dr Manamela told the media on Friday.
“Just like it is happening in the PSL and around the globe,” said Manamela referring to the covid-19 pandemic challenges.
“We will observe all the protocols that we need to observe and that is far as covid-19 is concerned. But the Tournament is an annual event, so black or white it is going to happen,” he said.
