SuperSport United and SA U20 midfielder Oswin Appollis continues to shine in the 2020 Cosafa Men’s Under-20 Championship.
A fortnight ago, the youngster stated that he will give his utmost best to help the team qualify for next year’s U20 Africa of Nations (Afcon) tournament in Mauritania.
The 19-year-old also added that experience has since been the driving force for both him and teammates to push for a championship triumph at this year’s Cosafa tournament.
A man of his words, Appollis has scored two goals in the 2020 Cosafa Men’s Under-20 Championship from two outings. The midfield dynamo put on a Man of the Match performance this past weekend when he helped Amajita crush Lesotho 7-0 at the Wolfson Stadium in Port Elizabeth. The youngster was also on the scoresheet against Zimbabwe in the opening encounter of the tournament.
The midfielder has added a new dimension to his game, as he’s playing less selfishly while also finishing his chances more ruthlessly.
Helman Mkhalele’s boys will head to their last group round game against Mozambique on Tuesday, 8 December 2020 at the Wolfson Stadium. The game will kick-off at 15h30 in the afternoon.
The rising star is the most capped player in the current Amajita squad with 12 caps and hopes to continue with his fine scoring run in the Cosafa tournament.
