Arbitration rule in favour of The Dolphins

After two weeks of dramatic scenes in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League, The Dolphins are officially the winners of the provincial stream A.

This comes after they have won their case against Mikhado FC on Tuesday.

Mikhado lodged a complaint on the 2nd of June in terms of article 109 of the Safa regulation disciplinary code, claiming that Dolphins have improperly registered one of their players known as Raymond Maluleke, and also of the team sheets related issues of which was dismissed by the arbitrator.

In the case involving Maluleke, the arbitrator succumbed to a decision that the participation of the player mentioned above in official league matches on 7 April 2021, 5 May 2021 and 8 May 2021, is deemed lawful and valid.

This simply means that Dolphins will face Magesi FC in the provincial playoffs of which was supposed to be played on the 6th June at Giyani Stadium.

However, the side will now play Magesi this afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, with the winner representing Limpopo province in the national playoffs set to take place in Mpumalanga.

Mikhado were ordered to remunerate the arbitrator, pay arbitrator’s costs and the costs of the first Respondent.
