Coach Nacir Armando was fired on Thursday by Union Desportiva de Songo (UDS ) amidst a run of poor results in Mocambola this season.
He will be replaced by Carlos Manuel, the club confirmed.
The heavy defeat of 4-1 against Black Bulls, in an encounter of the 5th round of the league at the weekend, is said to have influenced the decision of the direction of the club to show Armando the door.
UDS currently occupy fifth position in the league with eight points – two victories, two draws, and one defeat.
According to multiple reports in Mozambique, the goal of the UDS Board for the current season was to win the league title, and felt that the coach was not responding to the commitment.
Armado follows the path of other coaches already fired in Mocambola this campaign: Chaquil Bamete (Ferroviário de Nampula), Aly Hassane (Liga Desportiva de Maputo) and Amide Tarmamde (Textáfrica de Chimoio).
