Arrows players to watch v Downs

Share

Golden Arrows remain one of the unbeaten sides this season and could potentially be a tough nut to crack against Mamelodi Sundowns at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium this afternoon (15:30).

Mandla Ncikazi’s boys are coming off a good result against AmaZulu (2-0 win).

For Arrows to get any points, they need strong defenders, first of all, to kill off the threat from Peter Shalulile and company. This is where defender Trevor Mathiane comes in.

Trevor Mathiane

Arguably one of the most underrated defenders in the League, the Arrows centre back does a fairly good job at the back and will be relishing the challenge from the Sundowns attackers.

Nduduzo Sibiya

He has three goals in three games, which  builds confidence. Sibiya has always been a wonderful footballer, but he’s had to contend with injuries.

But now he’s fully fit and is capable of causing problems for the visitors.

Nyiko Makhubela

The winger has also had to deal with injuries, which slowed him down, but he’s back and Arrows would be delighted that he’s one of them.
