Atletico Madrid have confirmed that their forward João Félix has tested positive COVID-19.
The Portuguese international has become the latest player to test positive for the deadly virus after his teammates Mario Hermoso and Yannick Carrasco tested positive last week.
“João Félix has tested positive for COVID-19. The striker is isolating at home, in compliance with the health authorities’ guidelines and LaLiga protocols,” said the club in a statement.

The 21-year-old has played 25 games in all competitions, contributing six goals and weighing in five assists for Spanish giants.
Félix will be unavailable to face Celta Vigo in a league action on Monday due to a positive COVID-19 test.
