Aubameyang leads Arsenal to FA Cup title

Arsenal have been crowned 2019/20 FA Cup champions for a record 14th time after beating Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the London Derby.

‘The Gunners’ came back from a goal down with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring a brace and walking away with the Man of the Match award.

Chelsea took the lead in the first five minutes of the match through Christian Pulisic but Aubameyang hit back from the penalty spot in the 28th minute and scored the winning goal in the 67th minute.

‘The Blues’ hopes of finding the equaliser were diminished after their numbers were cut to 10, following a red card to Mateo Kovacic. Before that, Chelsea lost their captain Cesar Azpilicueta and star player Pulisic to hamstring injuries.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has now won the FA Cup with the club as a player and a manager, becoming the first person to achieve the feat at the London based outfit.
