A 3-1 defeat by Baroka in the DStv Premiership clash at Thohoyandou Stadium on Tuesday has left Black Leopards languishing at the bottom of the log after two matches.
Lidoda Duvha have also conceded more goals (5) than any other team in the league so far.
This has left new coach Patrick Aussems, who was in charge for the first time since joining the club last month, frustrated with his team’s silly mistakes.
The Belgian believes his team is unable to focus for the whole match and only play 45 minutes.
“We made individual mistakes and collectively, it means we punished ourselves,” said Aussems.
“Playing at home 3-0 at half time is very difficult to come back, even if we had a good second half with some changes and more intentions, it was not enough because we scored one goal.
“It’s a second game that we only play 45 minutes and that’s the biggest problem. If you want to win a game you need to play 90 minutes, so now it’s two games, two defeats and it’s not a good start. We are going to have a very difficult start to the season, we are missing some players and I hope that some players will come back to reinforce the team,” he said.
“So what I would like from my players is to play 90 minutes and not 45 minutes because during one half we do good things and I would like that for 90 minutes,” added Aussems.
Leopards will face AmaZulu in their next match, on Wednesday 4 November.
