Bafana duo test positive for Covid-19

Percy Tau and Teboho Mokoena have been withdrawn from the Bafana Bafana squad after testing positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Sipho Mbule is being monitored after coming into contact with an infected person (teammate Mokoena).

The above-mentioned players were supposed to form part of the South African men’s national team set to face Uganda in an international friendly.

The game is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 10 June at Orlando Stadium at 18:00 in the evening.

Assistant Coaches Janevski Cedomir and Helman Mkhalele revealed the news during a press conference held in Sandton on Monday, 7 June.
