Bafana face Botswana in Delta Covid


The 2021 Cosafa Men’s Senior Edition football tournament gets underway today in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.

This event has been ravaged by the country’s adapted lockdown level 4 regulations, in light of increasing positive Covid cases in South Africa.

To compound matters, various teams have pulled their players from the Bafana Bafana squad, citing fatigue, pre-season preparations and many more. Now, news coming out of the Bafana camp is that Head Coach (Helman Mkhalele) and Goalkeeper Coach (Lucky Shiburi) have tested positive, and won’t be sitting on the bench.

Morena Ramoreboli will be Bafana Bafana’s coach.

As for this encounter, Bafana will be favourites to beat the Zebras of Botswana, given that the majority of the Batswana team members have been inactive to the league being under lockdown rules.

Bafana are expected to adopt a flexible and adaptable (1-4-3-3) were Thabang Sibanyoni, is expected to lead the attack.
