Today marks 25 years since Bafana Bafana won their first and only CAF Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
South Africa beat Tunisia 2-0 in the final thanks to a brace by Mark Williams.
The Clive Barker coached side scored 11 goals in their six matches.
They beat Cameroon 3-0 in the opening match of the tournament, followed by a 1-0 win against Angola and a 1-0 defeat by Egypt in the last group A match, but still finished top of the group.
Captained by Neil Tovey, South Africa beat Algeria 2-1 in the quarterfinal, Ghana 3-0 in the semi-finals to set up a final with the Eagles of Carthage.
