Bafana Bafana are expected to put on a better show when they take on São Tomé and Príncipe at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium this afternoon (15:00).
Molefi Ntseki’s charges beat the same opposition 2-0 in Durban on Friday and will do their chances of qualifying for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) a lot of good with another win.
Bafana weren’t convincing in KwaZulu Natal, but one of the players who came on to make a difference was midfielder, Bongani Zungu.
FARPost‘s Tiyani wa ka Mabasa picks Zungu amongst the players to watch in the second leg.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder always takes the game to the opposition and with him starting this time, he’s got a lot of time to help Bafana dictate terms. Probably to settle the nerves, an early goal is important and Zungu is one player capable of making things happen.
‘Mshishi’, on his day, can cause a lot of problems for the opposition. His attacking play will be vital alongside the likes of Percy Tau.
The Anderlecht man is an obvious pick. As always, he’s got goals and assists in him. Tau is the type of player that the opponents would always dread coming up against and the Sao Tome defenders should know better after he scored in the first leg. Once again, Bafana will rely on him to get the goals.
