Banyana Banyana defender Bambanani Mbane scored a first half hat-trick in the Belarusian Women’s Football Championship as Dinamo-BSUFK thrashed Bostor 10-0 on Sunday at the Minsk Stadium.
Mbane’s three goals took her new Belarusian side to the top of the log standings after three league matches.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies star converted a penalty in the 27th minute to open her account in Belarus.
In the 37th minute, Mbane netted her second goal and on the stroke of half-time, the midfielder completed her hat-trick to cap off an impressive start.
“In principle, I am satisfied with all the girls. The football players realised their abilities well, there are no complaints here and cannot be,” said head coach of the team, Yuri Ivanovich Maleev.
“In comparison with the previous round I see improvements, the character on the field was much more pronounced.
“Perhaps this is due to the fact that the girls held their first home match, which they will probably remember. Nevertheless, there are still moments with which we must work and try to eliminate them,” concluded the Dinamo-BSUFK coach.
