Banyana striker continues to shine in Scotland

Banyana Banyana frontwoman Ode Fulutudilu continued to shine in comprehensive Glasgow City 4-1 win over Spartans to book a place in the quarterfinals of the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) Cup on Sunday.

Fulutudilu put on a Player of the Match performance as she bagged a brace on the day.

The speedy forward has been an influential figure for the Scottish side, having joined them in January 2021.

Lauren Davidson delivered the cross and Fulutudilu headed home from close range for her first goal of the new season.

Fulutudilu would get her, and City’s second just after the half-hour mark when she was played through and drilled the ball low off the far post and into the back of the net.

This was a show of strength from the South African national team goalscorer, who seems to have found her groove in Glasgow colours.

As a result, City cruised their way into the SWPL Cup quarterfinals with a game to spare.
