Stellenbosch head coach Steve Barker says the team is excited about the arrival of new signing Ibraheem Jabaar.
The Nigeria youth international was unveiled by Stellies on Tuesday after impressing their scouts.
The 18-year-old was part of the Nigeria U17 World Cup squad in Brazil where they were eliminated by the Netherlands in the last round of 16.
“Yes, we are very excited with our new signing (Jabaar),” Barker said.
“We found him through our recruitment structures and processes, and we invited him to come and train with us. When he did come to train with us he really impressed us. Technically a very good player.
“Very industrious player, a player that plays with courage and personality on the field. His technical ability in tight spaces is very good and he has a good character about him and we are very excited about the prospect and the future that he has with us at the cub and we can only wish him well,” concluded Barker.
Jabaar will join fellow countryman Stanley Dimgba who arrived at Stellies in November 2020.
