Be careful with Sirino, Pitso warns

Mamelodi Sundowns mentor Pitso Mosimane has called on the Premier Soccer League disciplinary committee to maintain consistency when handling all cases.
In the wake of Gaston Sirino’s DC case for alleged assault on SuperSport United players Dean Furman and Clayton Daniels which occurred in the MTN8 Semifinals back in September, Mosimane has called on the disciplinarians to handle the case well.
Should Sirino be found guality by the PSL DC , he could be banned for up to 4 games, and Mosimane has insisted that such a punishment would be harsh on Sirino.

“I don’t know if you have a luck of 4 games because why 4 games If  I were to ask? But how do you come to 4 games according to them he slapped both [Furman and Daniels] but did he slap them both?” asked Jingles.

“Okay that’s the argument look at the video footage and look at it be very, very careful because it’s your word against my word neh are you sure he slapped the other one?

“The first one I think there was contact [on Daniels], the second one was there contact? he pushed, the second one he pushed and everybody was pushing.

Mosimane highlighted the pushing in the recent derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium recently and argued that if Sirino would be punished for “pushing”, why weren’t there a similar punishment to the players who were pushing each other in the derby.

Sirino has not pleaded guilty on both charges of assault and he’s awaiting the verdict after the club submitted heads of arguments to the PSL on his behalf.
