Thembi Kgatlana is in no rush to make a big move in Spain.
The Banyana Banyana striker has had an impressive debut season in the Spanish Primera Division where she has scored 10 goals and contributed six assists this season.
This was her second big move in Europe having already played for SL Benfica in Portugal.
Speaking to the media via a virtual press conference, the 25-year-old said she is waiting for the right time to make a move to a bigger club.
“I am very hungry to play in the Champions League but I am not going to rush it because when it happens I want it to be worth it. I don’t want to get into a team just because I feel like I have to, everything has its time to happen,’’ said Kgatlana.
“At this stage, it’s time for me to showcase my talent and when the timing is perfect and there’s a team who plays in the Champions League that want me, I will go,” she added.
Kgatlana concluded by saying she is very happy to have made the move to Spain as she is having the best season in her career.
“Being in Spain is amazing. I’ve travelled everywhere in the world, but playing in Spain I’ve recorded my best ever statistics as a professional footballer. I am more comfortable in Spain, because of the way we play at Eibar. The club allows me to express myself and to be creative, while also becoming more of a team player.”
She was later joined by compatriot Noko Matlou who has also established herself as a regular member of the starting line-up playing in the centre back role.
