It now appears only a matter of time before SA international Bongani Zungu joins Scottish giants, Glasgow Rangers.
Local publication The Scotsman has reported that Zungu has now been given permission by his French club Amiens to hold talks over personal terms with the 54-time Scottish Premiership champions.
The Scotsman revealed earlier this month that Zungu was keen to join Steven Gerrard’s side following Amiens’ relegation from Ligue 1, and that talks were ongoing between the two clubs as they looked to get a deal over the line.
According to the report, Amiens are holding out for a fee of around €4million, but it’s further stated that Amiens’ decision to allow talks between Zungu and Rangers is a strong indication that there’s a club-to-club agreement in place.
Rangers are also linked with Bordeaux’s Nigeria international striker Josh Maja.
