AmaZulu FC coach Benni McCarthy has been impressed by the club’s two new additions to the squad.
The 2020/21 DStv Premiership Coach of the Season revealed that the team is doing well in the pre-season and his two new signings Mxolisi Kunene and Keagan Buchanan have been pushing hard.
“The two new boys look like they are settling in well, Keagan Buchanan that we got and (Mxolisi) Kunene,” he said.
“Kunene is easing himself in, you know he came back from an injury that he picked up when he was at Maritzburg, but he is looking really good – there is a lot of positive signs from him and Buchanana as well.
“The rest of the guys who have done amazing last season, they look to have stepped up from last season and I’m excited for the prospect of this season.”
The coach also congratulated two of their players who lifted the Cosafa Cup with Bafana Bafana in Gqeberha.
“I’d like to congratulate our two boys, Veli (Mothwa) who captained the Bafana Bafana and ‘Rasta’ Sithebe who has done amazingly, he was the player of the tournament.”
“You know AmaZulu products and you see the hard work that they’ve put in at the club. The kind of performance that they had to produce for Bafana and win the Cosafa Cup, so we’d like to congratulate them.”
