AmaZulu FC coach Benni McCarthy is impressed with the unity that he has witnessed at the club under his tutelage.
Usuthu have enjoyed some great run of form and they have collected 25 points in the 13 league matches.
McCarthy tells FARPost that they understand each other as a technical team which makes working together a bit easier and it rubs off to the players.
“The coaches have a really good understanding, we work well together and we always come up with good concepts to make training sessions enjoyable. This helps the guys to have fun and also learn and be better than they were yesterday”, says McCarthy.
The former Cape Town City mentor believes that the results are evident to their great working spirit and enjoyable atmosphere at training.
“When they go out on the pitch you get the quality of how the players activate, how they adjust themselves and how they enter the training sessions, they want to be better and towards our goals. In every game everyone wants to be ready so that they can be in the starting eleven, so players are competing and that is fundamental, that creates a good atmosphere.”
The all-time Bafana Bafana top scorer (with 31 goals to his name) is happy with the amount of hard work and great attitude shown by his players. “Hard word, determination and dedication and the desire to want to be better, the belief from the players to aim for maximum points has brought us the results. The players believe that they can be stronger, the more they believe, the harder they work then we get the results”, concludes McCarthy.
AmaZulu will host Tshakhuma at Jonsson Kings Park Stadium on Sunday.
