Ghana captain Andre Ayew is set to complete a move to Qatari giants, Al Sadd.
The 31-year-old will arrive in the Qatari capital of Doha today to undergo a medical before sealing what could be a massive pay deal.
The former Olympique Marseille star will earn around $200, 000 (R2.9-million) per week when he seals the deal, according to reports.
Ayew was a free agent after leaving his Welsh club Swansea City two months ago.
“Al Sadd have reached an agreement to sign Ghanaian star Andre Ayew. The player will arrive in Doha in the morning to complete the routine procedures, followed by the signing of the contract and the official announcement,” read Al Sadd’s statement.
He will be working under Spain and Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez, who is the current head coach of Al Sadd.
Last season, Ayew finished as Swansea’s leading goal scorer after scoring 17 goals in 46 appearances.
