“Khama knows the (Sundowns) secrets – we have created a monster out of him.”
These are the words of Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane from his media briefing at Chloorkop earlier today.
Speaking to the media on Thursday ahead of Sundowns’ crucial clash against Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Stadium on Sunday, Mosimane made it clear that Billiat is one player that may punish them.
“We taught him all the runs – we taught him all the things,” said Mosimane.
“You know it reminds me of Pep (Guordiola) taking Bayern Munich to go play the Uefa Champions League with Barcelona.
“When he came back from Sabatica he got 6 – 6 goals at Camp Nou and who was the menace ? Lionel Messi.”
Billiat who caused quiet a lot of problems for Sundowns in their Shell Helix Ultra Cup friendly that Chiefs won 4-2 is looking forward to score once again against his former team, this time in the League.
In that match, Billiat scored and played a key role in Leonardo Castro netting a hattrick against Sundowns.
“You can’t manage it so you’ve got to do what you have to do to minimise (the damage). You can’t stop him (Billiat).
“He posses a big threat more than anybody to be honest,” added the former Bafana Bafana coach.
Billiat has scored 1 goal and has 2 assists so far in the Absa Premiership.
