Billiat’s Foundation pays thousands to assist Real Madrid-bound youngster

The Khama Billiat Foundation has extended their helping hand to the family of a young Bloemfontein boy Mason Pietersen who has been invited for a soccer clinic at the Real Madrid Academy.

The 6-year-old, who’s in Grade 1, received the opportunity recently and is expected to train at Real Madrid from April 10-18, 2020.

The trip would cost R47 950 and after the family raised R12 000, the Khama Billiat Foundation stepped in to pay the rest (R36 000).

“The foundation saw it fit to help the young lad to realise his dreams by donating a substantial amount to secure the soccer clinics,” says the Foundation’s spokesperson, Thabang Sibeko, who added that Billiat picked up the story in the media.

“It may be his breakthrough in life to eventually get contracted to the Madrid football giants. As the Foundation, we are simply implementing the vision of Mr Khama Billiat,” he added.

Undoubtedly, the family is overjoyed and have since written a letter to Billiat to thank him for the wonderful gesture.

The youngster’s dream is now truly alive following the intervention by the Amakhosi star.
