GladAfrica Championship side Bizana Pondo Chiefs have confirmed the departure of their head coach Tshepo Motsoeneng.

The club and Motsoeneng went their separate ways in a mutual agreement.

“The decision to part ways with coach Motsoeneng was not an easy decision. He has served the club well with loyalty and it is sad that we have to part ways. We have considered many aspects related to the club,” said the club’s chairman Nkosinathi Mqokiyana.

“Motsoeneng has a rich history in helping the club gain promotion to GladAfrica Championship together with our players, who contributed immensely, boosting with clean sheets playing at home. It is time now time for the club to be led by somebody else.

“We wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Motsoeneng guided the club to win the Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League last season and also led them to the 2020 ABC Motsepe National Playoffs Championship.

The Hunters assistant coach Julius Dube will take over as the caretaker coach of the club with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper coach Sibongiseni Ntsele also left the club, having joined them in 2019.
