Lekwa City FC have announced that they have parted ways with head coach Bonni ‘BK’ Kasongo following a string of poor results.
This comes after the club failed to win a single game in its first season of the Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League.
Kasongo joined City late last month replacing Phumlani Sihle Thwala, who stepped down as the club’s head coach.
The 46-year-old outgoing mentor has succumbed to four successive defeats to Gembok United, Kriel Academy, Passion FC and Sivutsa FC.
Meanwhile, assistant coach Musa Magagula will take over the club as an interim coach with immediate effect.
City currently sit 8th in Stream B of the provincial ABC League log standings with zero points after four games.
The club will be hoping to turn the tables around when they face Kanyamazane All Stars at home on Wednesday, 31 March.
The game will start at 15:00 in the afternoon.
