Botswana’s giants Township Rollers have begun the search for a new coach after parting ways with Frank Nuttal last month.

With football likely to resume next month, Rollers are looking to replace the Scot whose contract would have expired at the end of June.

The Gaborone side this week published a notice, inviting applications for a new trainer and players.

“Head coach must be a holder of a CAF A License coaching certificate and players with at least six caps for their country,” read the notice.

Former Botswana Under 23 coach Daniel ‘Chicco’ Nare has been tipped to take over as the club’s coach. The highly rated Nare is also on the radar of crosstown rivals Gaborone United.

Frank Nuttal left Rollers after 5 months in charge

The charismatic coach, who is currently in charge of Premiership club Security Systems, has done an exceptional job at Systems on a shoe-string budget and they sit in third place, two points adrift of log leaders – Jwaneng Galaxy.

Rollers, who are 16-time champions of Botswana and holders of six domestic Cup trophies, are also in the market for a Video Analyst and a physical trainer.

Nuttal was only at the club popularly known as Mapalastina for five months after joining them in January. He lost in the Mascom top 8 final to Orapa United in March and was trailing log leaders Jwaneng Galaxy by a point with 10 games to go before the end of the season.
