Cape Town Spurs have announced the signing of the Brazilian defender Jairo Souza Da Silva from Treze FC.
The club also put on record that the centre-back is no stranger to Ikamva having previously trained with the team in 2017.
“The 28-year-old has received his work permit and could make his debut for the Urban Warriors at home to Free State Stars in the GladAfrica Championship on Saturday,” said Spurs in a statement.
“The Urban Warriors’ new man has had his fair share of play for Campinense, Sergipe, Itabaiana, Nacional, AD Perilima and most recently Treze FC in his native Brazil before taking his talents to the Mother City.
Da Silva’s arrival come in handy as the Cape Town-based outfit have suffered a huge blow with 11 of its first team players in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19.
He will be expected to add value to the club and help Spurs to survive the relegation zone.
