FARPost has it on good authority that Black Leopards defender Edwin Gyimah has left the bio-bubble and will not be part of their remaining matches during the relegation/promotion play-offs.
Gyimah reportedly left without informing anyone at the club after their 3-0 defeat by Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday and has never made any contact since then.
He apparently requested to be replaced during the match against Sundowns and his wish was granted. Instead of leaving with the team bus with the rest of his teammates, he was picked up by a white car outside of the stadium.
More information is that he forced his way into the hotel to fetch his belongings and also pushed security personnel to get out.
Leopards has since commented through their senior official Tshifhiwa “Chief” Thidiela.
“He is not here with us (at bio-bubble) but we don’t know where he is and how he got out,” said Thidiela.
It is unclear what prompted the Ghanaian to just leave, with four promotion matches remaining.
When contacted for a comment, the 29-year-old confirmed to this publication that he is no longer part of Leopards, but refused to comment further as he was not in a good space.
Leopards will take on Ajax Cape Town in their first match of the promotion playoffs on Wednesday at 15:30.
